While this book is intended as a guide on natural family planning and is quite useful in that light, the practices it describes are seen as useful beyond the scope of reproduction. It also allows a safe albeit rather clinical exploration of one's sexual reproductive system with a depth many women say they did not understand prior to reading this book and exploring some of the methods and practices it advocates.

What your mother probably didn't tell you and more!!! While some of the philosophies present in this book are antithetical to the principles of this project, this is a thorough and comprehensive guide to a woman's body...consider it a manual of sorts! A fascinating review of the original publication of this book offered in 1970 from the New England Free Press is found here in pdf form.
